David is originally from the UK, but has spent much of his adult life from the age of 22 onwards living in Portugal where he started and ran his own advertising company until 2001.
He first qualified as a commercial pilot in 1987, initially holding the US and UK ratings and obtaining the Australian licence in 1988; with the most respected ratings in hand he has travelled the world working principally in Portugal and the EU, Australia, Canada, Jordan, Thailand, Turkey and Kenya.
His most memorable assignments to date have been Thailand where he flew an Airship over Bangkok for a year for one of Thailand’s leading mobile operators, Jordan where he flew for the Royal Jordanian Aero Club and lived in a Bedouin village in Wadi Rum, the valleys and rock formations of Cappadocia Turkey and of course the magnificent flight from Governors Camp in the Maasai Mara.
When not flying David takes an interest in business and spends his time between London, Kenya and Portugal.
He speaks Portuguese, French and some Spanish and takes a keen interest in economics and current affairs, other interests include, skiing, sailing and he has competed in two World Airship Championships as pilot and strategist.
